Description

#1, 2 & 4 have sold.

This listing is for your choice of ONE (1) antique celluloid in metal button. There are FOUR (4) different buttons available. I have numbered each button. Please place an order for the quantity you wish to buy. Tell me the number(s) of the one(s) you want in the Add a Note window. I will take care of the rest.

Here is a brief description of each button:

1. SOLD...SOLD...SOLD NBS medium, measuring 1 & 1/4" in diameter. This one has tortoise celluloid under a decorative brass frame and has a glass center made to mimic cut steels. Loop shank inserted in a tin back.

2. SOLD...SOLD...SOLD NBS large, measuring a hair over 1 & 1/4" in diameter. The celluloid is ivory in color under a gold toned decorative border. The center is silver toned made to look like cut steels. The back is gold over tin with a loop shank inserted. A little of the gold on the back is gone.

3. NBS large, measuring a hair over 1 & 1/4 in diameter. This one has tortoise celluloid around a metal center made to look like cut steels. The outside border is silver toned fans set in burgundy tinted gold toned metal. The back is black japanned with a loop shank.

4. SOLD...SOLD...SOLD NBS large, measuring a hair over 1 & 1/4" in diameter. The celluloid is ivory in color under a radiating gold toned metal design. The center is perforated with silver toned metal meant to mimic cut steels. The outer border has hand painted designs in light blue and pink. A really sweet design. The metal back has a loop shank.

All of these are in very good, original antique condition. I have included 2 close-up pictures of each button. Close-ups show things not easily seen with the naked eye. My photos are a big part of my description. Please be sure to view them all as they are a good representation of what you are considering. I see nothing negative to mention.

Any or all of these would be nice addition(s) to any collection. They also would be lovely made into a piece of jewelry. I do hope that if you choose to make jewelry, you will leave the button intact.

Combined shipping is available.
