Description

This is the second image in my goddess series. She started life as a simple nature goddess, but had a mind of her own and started to take on the attributes of the Roman goddess, Diana. Diana was the goddess of the hunt and the moon, she was a wild, fierce goddess of women and childbirth.

She started with the deer skull - deers are one of Diana's symbols. I ended up daydreaming about the conflict and pain of Diana being true to herself as the Hunter and so hunting her own symbol (hence the broken arrow). Yet, even amongst the destruction, the other aspects of herself swell and embrace her - the oak leaves, nature, the moon circlet. She is about doing what you must to be true to yourself, even when it is painful.

She is made to pair perfectly with 'The Wolf and the Moon': https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/589894009/

Printed using archival-quality pigmented ink onto 310 GSM 100% cotton fine art paper with a lovely, subtle texture. Available in either an A4 or A5 size, but feel free to send me a message if you are interested in custom sizes (up to A2). The last photos show an A4 print for reference, as well as a close-up of the paper's texture.
