Description

Creamer and Sugar Bowl with Bean Brown Glaze reminiscent of Mahogany . . . Modern Dinnerware designed for everyone. The large handles accommodate a hand with ease. The color of the glaze is rich and varied, and the design is simple. Simply elegant design - organic and minimalist.

American Modern, designed by Russel Wright, was produced by Steubenville Pottery from 1939 -1959; however, this glaze, Bean Brown, was discontinued soon after the beginning of WWII. The red oxide for the glaze was required by the military.

Hard to find this glaze in a matched creamer and sugar set - and, they are in wonderful condition.

Condition: Excellent. No cracks, no chips, no crazing. The glaze is shiny and bright.

Measurements:
Sugar Bowl:
6 1/2" at widest point
2 3/4" H.

Creamer:
7 1/2" at the widest point including handle
2 3/4" H.
