INTERMEDIATE level chainmaille project - Mngwa Weave by Amy Leggett

Twist and weave your way through a chainmaille bracelet creation with a fun edge! Mngwa was named after the large mythical cat creature from Swahili fairy tales. Like the myth's creature, it was a mysterious beautiful weave that no one had yet discovered. It is now a popular chainmaille weave and often seen in plain metal as a gender-neutral bracelet.

Designed by Amy Leggett of The Metalmark, Mngwa is an Intermediate-level weave closely related to Vipera Berus.

If this is your first time making Mngwa, consider one of the "easier" colorways that only use 1 color for the large rings: Espresso or Peacock.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MNGWA can be purchased in our shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/592082427/

PREREQUISITES: Proficiency with at least 3 chainmaille weaves. Knowledge of Vipera Berus is helpful, but not required.

Kits include:
180+ jump rings (enough for about an 8" bracelet) in anodized aluminum and a toggle clasp. Espresso uses copper links for the main ring sizes; all other colorways are aluminum

Kits DO NOT include instructions. The instructions are sold separately because some people prefer to purchase multiple kits (while others don't want the kit and just want instructions).
