A Gorgeous RARE Miriam Haskell Lawrence Vrba Egyptian Scarab Necklace and Earring Set made in the 1970's. This big statement pendant is approx. 3 1/8" in length and 2 1/4" across. The golden gilt scarab is mounted on a ceramic imitation turquoise cobachon. It is secured to be base with 4 gilt metal prongs. The cabochon is surrounded by glass imitation Coral beads. This is set on a base of guilt metal in a scroll design. It is attached to the necklace with a gilt bail that is etched with scrollwork that is approx. 1/2" long. The back of the pendant has one area that looks like a natural flaw. There is no finish missing. The necklace is made up of glass imitation coral, lapis, and turquoise beads, carved shell, and gilt metal beads. The longest strand is approx.
16". The shortest strand is approximately 10 3/4" (14" including pendant ). The clasp is decorated with imitation turquoise and lupis. It is marked Miriam Haskell. The matching earrings have a gilt ball and dangling imitation turquoise, lapis, and coral with gilt metal findings. They have a clip-screw combination closure. They are marked Haskell on the back of the clip. They hang approx. 2".
