This is an actual transverse cross section of the head of a Homo Sapien in the 3.5 month stage of fetal embryonic development, Not a photographic example. Images below taken with just my iPhone. Your professional microscope will no doubt show much more details.

Glass prepared slide measures 3 x 2" inches
Age of fetus: 3.5 months
I do not know anything about the source of the preparation. It was offered to me while purchasing a collection of standard (1.5 X 3”) histology slides prepared from a medical college in Pennsylvania.


A very unique and genuinely rare item for anyone interested in medicine, neuro anatomy studies.
