Description

What a special find! These gorgeous crescent moon side plates with scalloped edges were made by Bridgwood & Son in the late 1800s. This set of five features 2 plates with butter yellow jonquils/daffodils and foliage and pink accents, 2 plates with pink blossoms and purple berries (elderberries?), and 1 plate with dreamy purple knapweed blossoms.

Each plate is hand numbered and features the Bridgwood impression and "Porcelaine Opaque" descriptor. The porcelain is beautifully crazed, some plates are more heavily than others, and the images are full of detail and color. Their charm is accentuated by the graceful crescent shape of the dishes. Measure 6.75" long and 4" wide. The porcelain is a bit darker on some plates than others, just like the crazing varies a bit. No chips, cracks, or other condition issues were noted, just some light flecking to the glaze.

These will add so much charm and eye candy to any table or display! <3

Sister Sassafras makes every attempt to accurately describe her wares - flaws and all - but the assessment of vintage items is a subjective/personal matter. Please carefully consider the photographs provided and reach out to us with any questions you might have.

Shipping policies

Shipping quotes are for our preferred shipping method, USPS Priority Mail. For larger items, we'll use USPS Retail Ground, which it is much more economical and slightly slower. With both methods a tracking number and insurance will be provided.

We love to combine shipping. The more you shop, the more you save!

International orders are generally not a problem. Please convo with your location and she will do her best to shred international red tape and provide you with the opportunity to purchase the item.
