Description

This skunk skull was found in an area of forest that had caught on fire last summer. It had been mostly protected, as the damage to the skull isn’t that bad. Still, the skull has been singed by the flames, as you can see by the discoloration and burnt edges. Some of the skull crumbled away when I picked it up, but I have preserved it here with real moss so it will never be forgotten.

This piece like all from this seller are gorgeous and it goes so well with my small collection. Such a beautiful and imaginative display that came with an amethyst that really was a perfect touch for this piece. Couldn't have found something like this at a more reasonable price and it came to me quickly and in perfect condition.

FAQs

I can absolutely do custom orders, just send me a message and we can work out details/price and I’ll make a custom listing with your name just for you. Custom orders can take me anywhere from two to three weeks depending on my work schedule.
Any bones and skulls I sell will never have been boiled or bleached. I only use natural decomposition methods and peroxide to whiten. Dust your items lightly with either canned air or a feather duster. Do not set anything heavy on small skulls/sculptures. Try not to pull or yank on jewelry/keychains. Keep wet specimens out of direct sunlight and containers tightly closed. Weathered skulls may need to be sealed with clear wood sealant to keep integrity.
I absolutely do pet preservations. Please send me a message for details. I can do articulations, wet specimens, dry preservation (small animals only), and I can make jewelry using fur/paws/parts.
I do not tan hides or do traditional taxidermy. Price will depend on labor, materials, and how large the pet was.
Decomposition time varies. Can take anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months. Be ready to wait, everything I do I want to do correctly so that your friend stays perfect for as long as absolutely possible.
In my opinion, ethics are subjective person to person. Therefore I do not use that word. If you want to know where the parts came from or how the animal died, please send me a message and ask. I will always be 100% honest with you.
Most of my animals parts were found myself (well, by the dog), pulled from roadkill, or salvaged from taxidermists. Of few specimens I have do have bullet holes in them. I found them in nature this way.
NO. I have never killed any animal on purpose in my life. I do not hunt and I do not fish. All of my animal parts were found naturally or bought from people who fit my personal description of ethical.
All buyers are expected to know the laws from the states they are purchasing from. I am not liable for any items not reaching their destination due to being confiscated by wildlife officials. I will not refund you for this. Knowing your own laws is your responsibility.
I do not ship out of country for similar reasons.
Absolutely, however I will not hold items without a deposit. Send me a message and we can work out details.
I do - but only on Tumblr (@vulture-kitty) I rarely get domestic animal parts, so you’ll have to keep an eye out on my blog. I don’t sell them on Etsy as doing so goes against Etsy’s terms of use. I do not sell domestic cat or dog fur.
Absolutely! Just send me a message so we can work out details!
I do! Send me a message to work out details. All payment plans will require a deposit- which is non-refundable but does count toward the final value of the item.
