This is a wonderful photograph rescued froma coffee table sized art book dated from the early 1980s.

According to Budhhhist legend, when it was time for the Buddha to enter Nirvana, all the animals in the world were called to bear witness. In his own independent way, the cat fell asleep and missed the ceremony. For this reason, the cat could not enter Nirvana, and it was the only animal that was not protected. Yet over the years the cat became so well loved that it was restored to the position of other animals. In fact, there are even temples dedicated to the cat in Japan.

Quite a story for the cat lovers out there. This is a beautiful black and white photograph and measures about 81/2 by 11 1/2. The cat seems to be saying sorry I was late for your party, can I come home now?

Woulkd be a great gift for a favorite friend or frame for yourself for entryway or office. The stories this could tell.

Will be delievered the next day in a professional photo mailer and and cello sleeve and well protected all because I care how my cats reach Niravana.

enjoy.
