Ametrine is a wonderfully fun natural gemstone, a bi-color quartz that is part Amethyst and part Citrine. The Anahi Mine in Bolivia is the major world producer of Ametrine. Their supply is limited and Ametrine could someday be scarce.

I had a very difficult time photographing this stone. You're seeing reflections and spots that aren't really there. It's very clear and clean and slightly lighter in color than what is showing in the pictures. Most of the gem is a light golden yellow until you get to the end for a lovely purple surprise. This gem is 8.8x7.3mm and 2.71carats.

The sterling silver band is handmade. Two separate bands 'link' together over a round bar on either side of the stone. The bands are also joined on the palm side of the ring for comfortable wearing. Life is too short to wear ordinary jewelry!

This ring is a generous size 6.

My rings come in a lovely ring box ready for giving. It will be beautifully packaged and will arrive by insured mail within the US. For my international customers, I use flat rate priority mail whenever possible.
