Description

Here is a nice set of four Caravelle Sizzling Servers enamel over stainless serving pans imported from in France. Two are marked as Caravelle and two just marked with their size in centimeters. These were probably made in Poland or another European firm and then marketed by Caravelle for export to the United States. We have seen examples marked as being made in Poland that are completely identical. Regardless, these make a great mod statement when serving food for guests. All in good to very good condition. All have spots of edge wear from minor to more noticeable. I tried to capture it in the photos. The orange example is in excellent condition with almost no edge wear and a few barely noticeable utensil marks on the inside. The large red pan has two spots of edge wear or enamel chips that someone tried to cover up, but the interior is very clean. The deep yellow example has more noticeable edge chips to the enamel and scratches on the inside, and the bright yellow has some edge nicks but no interior scratches. Considering the use these received and their age I would grade them an average of 7.5 out 10 with some being closer to 7 and some being more like 8.5 to 9. Most of these that we see have some edge wear and chips which is customary for these types of enamel pans. The same is true for Cathrineholm, Krenit and other popular enamelware from that era. The red is 9 3/4" in diameter, the orange 6" in diameter, the bright yellow is 7 3/4" in diameter and the deep yellow is 8" in diameter.

Shipping to a NYS address will be charged 8.0125% sales tax.
