Description

This moldavite pendant is a raw stone wrapped in .925 silver. The back contains a "silver cage" to stabilize the piece and hold the stone so that the natural beauty of the moldavite can be seen on the front side. This is the highest grade of moldavite, known as museum grade. The "skin" has a high degree of topography, with many canyons and valleys. It is highly crystalline and translucent and shines beautifully in the sunlight.

Moldavite was created 15 million years ago in a massive meteorite impact in what is now Germany. The explosion from this impact was cataclysmic and would have changed global weather patterns for an extended period of time. It is the only known meteorite impact in the history of the planet to have produced a stone of this type. Most meteorites end up hitting rock, which creates opaque black stones called tektites. This particular meteorite is special because it hit a bed of quartz, sand, and granite, which all contain silicon and is why moldavite is crystalline and translucent.

Moldavite is a powerful transformational stone. It is known to accelerate the rate of one's personal evolution and will 'bring on' events, people, and situations that support the transformation of the soul into a higher, wiser being. This process can be intense! It is hard work at times but the reward is valuable beyond measure. It helps one to connect to the spiritual realms of higher consciousness and is a powerful third eye and heart chakra activator. It supports active and lucid dreaming.

MY MOLDAVITE STORY:

I firmly believe this particular moldavite to be of the highest quality in the world. In 2012, I set out to become a moldavite dealer and went to the largest crystal trade show in the world to look at samples from as many moldavite mines as possible.

After viewing moldavite from over 100 different mines, I settled on my choice. The mine is operated by a kind man from the Chlum region of the Czech Republic. The moldavite is a deep green color but is also highly translucent and crystalline. However, the most striking quality of it is its energy. It has the high buzz that many have come to associate with moldavite but is also much more stable, centered, and grounded than any moldavite I have ever encountered. The mystical qualities and general rush of energy is much stronger.

Sometimes people report feelings of sensitivity or overwhelm around moldavite. Low or mid-grade moldavite can promote feelings of nervousness or anxiety, which can sometimes result in headaches. This is ultimately the result of impurities and a lower percentage of silicon in the stone. These symptoms are far less common with museum grade moldavite. The amount of energy that comes through moldavite is very high and the tighter crystalline structure of museum grade is important and necessary to help bridge the consciousness. Anyone who wants to experience the benefits of moldavite in its purest form should work with a piece of the highest possible grade.
