Use Gilders Paste for many art forms and mediums such as metal, wrought iron, steel, jewelry making, painting, scrapbook, artwear elements and so much more! Use it on anything to add some color! I cannot think of anything I would not use it on!

***Please notice that, while it is creamy texture when poured in the tin at the manufacturing site, it will dry up. It may be dry when you receive it and even rattle in the tin a bit. Even when it is creamy it will dry up on you. This is the normal expected behavior of this excellent product. But you don't have to worry about that. You can always add a little bit of paint thinner and mix it to your desired texture.

*OVERSTOCK SALE*
We are rearranging our warehouse and will be stocking this item differently. We are selling out some colors and will be restocking as these sell.
Normal pricing of $9.75 will return when the sale colors sell out. At that point we will restock all colors.

Baroque Art Gilders Paste is made of highly concentrated metallic and organic pigments blended with a wax base. It can be used both indoors and outdoors with little or no surface preparation. Colors are ready to apply with brushes, sponges, cloth, or other tools.

This is a non-toxic product but it does have a bit of an odor when you open the can. That odor does dissipate but it can be difficult if you have trouble with smelly things.

Gilders Paste can be applied to many different materials. Use it to color metal, wood, ceraminc, resin, way, gourdes, foam and much more. Anything you want to add a bit of color to!

I have personally used it on brass dragonfly charms as well as cast iron home decor. It does a great job of bringing a piece to life! I have also used the black to darken black jewelry findings!

It can be applied as-is to clean, dry, oil-free surfaces with a cloth, cotton swab, sponge, your finger... or thin it with paint thinner to create a paste, paint, stain or wash. Smooth surfaces should be slightly roughened with fine grit sandpaper or steel wool before application. Gilders Paste dries to the touch in 10-15 minutes and completely dries in 12 hours with no tacky residue.

It is not uncommon for your Gilders Paste to become dried out and cracked. This does not mean that the Gilders Paste is unusable, it just needs a little love. If the wax is not to the consistency that you like, or dried out, you can use paint thinner, mineral spirits, turpentine or Turpenoid (turpentine substitute) knife in and mix. You're ready to go. The ability to rejuvenate this product allows a long useable shelf life. There is no need to mix up the whole tin, just mix what you need as you need it.
