Create retro shorts for your little one. The PDF pattern includes sizes 2T-6. This modern twist on an old classic is a fun a easy project.

I've also included a video step-by-step instructions on how to sew these shorts.

The added bonus of buying a PDF pattern is that you don't have to trace the pattern pieces each time you want to make a new shirt. All you have to do is print out the pattern and cut the size you want to make.

======================================================
To make this shirt you will need:
• 1/2 yard of fabric (suggested fabrics: Medium-weight knit fabrics with 10% stretch such as terry cloth, fleece, or velour)
• Light-weight Ribbing
• sewing machine
• thread (matching color)
• woolly nylon thread
• twill tape and/or 1" elastic
• eyelet or grommets #0 or #1
• scissors
• pins
• water-soluble fabric-marking pen or tailor's chalk

Optional supplies:
• serger
• tracing wheel and carbon paper

======================================================
SKILLS NEEDED:
Sewing curved seams, top stitching, setting grommets or eyelets, sewing binding.

✤This is a great project for someone who has sewn from a pattern before or has taken a sewing class or two.
======================================================

Pattern pieces include 1/4" seam allowance (unless otherwise noted), hem allowances, and button hole extensions are also included.

Patterns are made to be printed on US Letter paper (8.5"x11"), so pattern pieces will need to be assembled as directed in the instructions. You will not be asked to scale to fit or crop any of the pattern pieces; All pattern pieces are at 100% scale. I've also included a "Test Square" to make sure your printer is printing the pattern pieces correctly.

The instructions are broken down into sections and give a detailed step-by-step explanation on how to construct each piece.

Very easy. Turned out great. Mine has a seam on it only because I was altering a store bought dress and I was able to use the side seam of what I took in to match. I made 2 different sizes.

Love this pattern. First time doing a collar so I needed a bit of extra googling but it came together in the end. I changed the pocket to be symmetrical and added snaps 🥰

I loved how the pattern turned out! I’m a novice so I had to google how to create a collar to figure out the instructions, but it was simple enough when I got it! I also have a serger so I skipped the intermediate seam foldovers, but I LOVE how the shirt looks in the end. Fit my 2 year old nephew perfectly.
