"A traveler is really not someone who crosses ground so much as someone who is always hungry for the next challenge and adventure" - Pico Iyer

My husband and I have been travelers and seekers for the past five years since our leaving NYC. The hunger to which Pico Iyer refers is one that I know well, and one that in five years has yet to be sated. We welcomed 2018 by adventuring to Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. This original artwork was one in which I sought to portray the pastel stripes of the Park's mountains.

I did this by painting with acrylic and ink as well as illustrating with ink on paper. As is shown in the close-up image(s), the inks I use are in some cases matte, and in other cases iridescent. When the latter is used, the ink, when in direct light, shimmers and sparkles.

This work of art will be shipped with great care. Please note that it will arrive to you unmatted and unframed.
