These bread boards are created from reclaimed pine from the 1970’-1980’s


ONCE THEY ARRIVE:
we clean them with kosher salt and lemon and wipe them with a food grade salad bowl/butcher block sealer. (This protects them from oils from cheeses and vegetables). They will have a slight shine. Once dry we wipe them with a food grade butcher block conditioner oil, which we recommend for all of the bread boards we sell. We also wipe them again before they are shipped to protect them from another climate change.

We RECOMMEND:
not submerging them in water
not using them as cutting boards
Not using them to cut raw meat
and to wipe them periodically with a food grade butcher block conditioner.

We were able to purchase bread boards from a European restaurant supply house that has been in business since the 1950's making circular bread boards. These are created USING VINTAGE RECLAIMED WOOD FROM THE 1970’-1980’s

Vineyards in France and Italy use them for charcuterie trays that are presented during the vineyards wine tasting. Although each one is unique and one of a kind they are quite uniform in size, almost 1" thick, have two support pieces, a hand drilled hang hole and a beautiful patina.
