Description

“Mutilation is the scar left by the struggle with Time, and a reminder of it - Time which is as much a part of ancient works of art as the material they are made of, and thrusts up through the fissures, from a dark underworld, where all is at once chaos and determinism.”

~Andre Malraux

This one-of-a-kind necklace contemplates the allure of broken beauty with antiqued brass filigree, rhinestones, red beads, and an antique porcelain doll called a Frozen Charlotte. Matching earrings complete the set.

Frozen Charlottes were manufactured between 1850-1920 in Thuringia, Germany. Imperfect dolls were discarded and buried around the doll factories. Now, collectors are excavating these tiny beauties.

Necklace: 17 inches long, expandable to 20 inches.

Pendant: 3 ½ inches x 2 inches.

Earrings: 1 ¾ inches long.

Please be aware that the small metal decorations could snag delicate fabrics.

My aim is a happy customer. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you can return your item, in its original condition, within 7 days of receipt. The purchase cost will be refunded minus shipping costs.
