This Red Drum is carved by William "Dock" Lindley. Dock's carvings are known for their realistic appearance, excellent airbrushed coat, and trademark eyes.

Approximate dimensions - 23" x 9.5"

A wire hanger is attached on back (use two tacks on the wall for balance)

Not recommended for hanging outside with exposure to sun, wind, and rain.

Each carving begins with a sketch by Dock. It is then carved out of poplar wood using tools such as a band saw, belt sander, and foredom carving tools. Dock airbrushes using pearlized and iridescent paints that are somewhat transparent so that the grains of the wood show through. Each piece is finished with 7 coats of polyurethane with sanding in between each coat. The eyes are created by torching compression fittings and applying these to wooden dowel shapes. The final product is signed and dated by Dock on the back.
