Description

This gorgeous early Edwardian (c. 1901-1906) lavaliere features a sparkling .10ct Old European cut diamond set in an articulated flower, and is studded with lustrous natural seed pearls. A natural baroque river pearl is suspended from the bottom adding eye-catching movement to the piece. Done in 14KY gold, the pendant has a graceful openwork design and is embellished with textured leaves. This piece is not hallmarked, which is not unusual as it was made in the US prior to 1906. The US was really the only country known to use 14k gold at the time. 1906 is when the National Gold and Silver Stamping Act required jewelers to include an accurate purity mark, which indicates the materials used in a given work. Sold on a 19” 14k gold chain. Such a brilliant work of art!

SPECIFICS :
MEASUREMENTS: 2” long x 6/8” Wide
DIAMOND SPECIFICS: .10ct ; F color SI1 clarity ; Old European Cut (diamond graded in setting and is approximate)
WEIGHT: 2.4 grams
CONDITION: Excellent antique condition. I would dare to say perfect!
MARKINGS: There is what appears to be a very faint and crude hand etched set of numbers on the bottom left back. The previous owner reported to having this piece polished on a wheel, which likely dulled this mark. There are no formal stamps or hallmarks on the piece. It does test positive for 14k gold.

* I stand behind the authenticity of all of my pieces, and honor a 14 day money back return policy if you do not like the piece for ANY reason, no questions asked!
