This spoon makes a wonderful golden / 50th wedding anniversary gift.

This listing is for one hand-stamped, gold-plated serving spoon/table spoon stamped with one of 2 phrases and a row of 3 heart outlines:

1) Served With LOVE Since 1969 ♡♡♡, or
2) Made With LOVE Since 1969 ♡♡♡

If you would like a DIFFERENT phrase, font, year, and/or images/characters stamped on the spoon, please convo me about setting up a custom order. Click the link below to send me a message on Etsy:

★★★ PLEASE NOTE: The spoon pattern pictured is an EXAMPLE ONLY. See more details below.

★★★ PLEASE NOTE: Silverware pieces are referred to by different names in different parts of the country and between different flatware patterns. This listing is for an oval serving spoon (or table spoon, place spoon, or oval "soup" spoon -- *not* to be confused with the big, round, gumbo-style soup spoons). The spoon will be 7 - 8 inches in total length. The spoon bowl is roughly 2.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide (at its widest point). ★★★

★★★ PLEASE NOTE: The stamped letters and characters are NOT darkened/colored in (as described below). The letters/characters appear to be darkened in simply due to shadows and lighting, so that the stamping would be more visible in the photographs. The stamping is completely visible but NOT darkened in due to food safety issues and to potential toxicity issues, as explained below. There are no black marks, discoloration, white patches, or other colors on the spoon -- those are simply reflections & shadows. ★★★

➽ If you would prefer a hand-stamped, SILVER-plated, vintage serving/table spoon instead, please convo me to set up a custom order. I also have a large stock of silver-plated spoons, and the letters and characters can be darkened in on these spoons in a food-safe manner.

➽ This reclaimed vintage gold-plated flatware item is custom hand-stamped to order.

➽ This recycled gold-plated silverware is used (in most cases). Some of the pieces are "new old stock" (discontinued pieces that were never used but have been in storage). Nearly all pieces date from 1999 or earlier, so most can be classified by Etsy as "vintage." Either way, due to their age, nearly all pieces will show some signs of wear whether from gentle use or from storage or both. These recycled pieces have character from their former lives. There will be minor scratches, some small nicks, little spots, and/or some small areas of plate-wear. If you are seeking perfect, pristine, brand new pieces, these are not the items for you. (Feel free to convo me if you are looking for brand new, current [not discontinued], unused pieces; I can let you know if I have any in stock and what their prices would be.)

➽ The PATTERN WILL VARY depending on the silverware in stock at the time of item production. However, all spoons will be at least 7 - 8 inches in length, will be gold-plated (gold electroplate over stainless steel in most cases), and will be just as lovely as those pictured.

➽ Please note that many gold-plated flatware patterns were produced for major silverware manufacturers in China or Korea. The back of each spoon handle may be blank or may be marked with "WM. ROGERS & SON ©" and "CHINA," or "Cook's Essentials™ 18/10" and "CHINA," or just "CHINA," or just "KOREA," for example.

➽➽➽ Production time on this item is 5-7 business days after receipt of cleared payment, which does not include weekends or holidays. The item is shipped AFTER this production time, so please consider delivery time when choosing your shipping method at Checkout. This means your item will ship no later than 1.5 weeks after the date you place your order, unless there is a federal holiday(s) involved.

➽➽➽ This item will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail Parcel (3-7 days typical delivery AFTER production) in a bubble envelope OR via USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate box (2-3 days typical delivery AFTER production). Both shipping options come with USPS Tracking™. Please remember that Priority Mail shipping just means that the item will be delivered faster, NOT that it will be created faster; faster shipping does not equal faster production.

➽➽➽ Pictures are enlarged (close-ups) to show detail. The photos are not the actual size of the finished item. Please refer to the applicable scale information shown in the photos (i.e., the U.S. penny, the U.S. dime, the ruler, etc.) and/or the listing description for actual dimensions. Remember, U.S. pennies are only 19mm across (roughly 3/4-inch or 0.75 inches) and U.S. dimes are only 17.7mm across (less than 3/4-inch; roughly 0.70 inches).

➽➽➽ All pieces are handcrafted by me. Spacing between, and depth of, hand-stamped letters, numbers, characters/images, etc., will vary slightly between, and within, items. These small variations add to the charm and unique nature of each piece. They are not imperfections. These items are handmade with a hammer & metal stamps, NOT made by machine.

➽➽➽ If you need a larger quantity of spoons than what is listed as available, please convo me.

❶ "Add Gift Box" -- You can select whether or not you want the spoon to be gift boxed. The gift box option includes a long, rectangular silver foil (dimensional swirl design) gift box filled with cotton. The spoon will be sealed in a clear resealable pouch and packaged in the gift box. The gift box will then be placed inside a clear cello bag to protect the box's surface design. You can see an example of the gift box in the photo here: https://img.etsystatic.com/il/28d1ce/1331708382/il_fullxfull.1331708382_1gyf.jpg
◆ "No Gift Box" -- the spoon will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap for shipping and will include care instructions
◆ "With Gift Box" -- the spoon will be packaged in the pouch inside the gift box; the gift box will then be inserted into a clear cello bag with the care instructions and wrapped in bubble wrap (or padded with shredded paper/recycled packing peanuts, depending on the shipping option selected) for shipping

❷ "Wording Options" -- You can select which phrase you want hand-stamped on the spoon bowl above "Since 1968" and the 3 heart images. Choices are:
◆ "Served With LOVE" = Spoon will be stamped with "Served With LOVE Since 1969 ♡♡♡"
◆ "Made With LOVE" = Spoon will be stamped with "Made With LOVE Since 1969 ♡♡♡"
➽ ➽ ➽ If you are interested in having ANYTHING else stamped on a spoon instead, please convo me PRIOR to ordering about setting up a custom order. This listing is ONLY for the above two stamping options, but I'd be happy to set you up with your own custom spoon design.

➽ ➽ ➽ All letters & numbers & hearts will be stamped using the font shown. The stamped characters will ***NOT*** be darkened in. (See below.)

➽ ➽ ➽ The exact positioning of the phrase and hearts on the spoon bowl will vary slightly due to the handcrafted nature of this item. No two pieces will ever be precisely the same.

****************************************************************************
★★★ All GOLD ELECTROPLATED flatware items designed for use with food do **NOT** have the hand-stamped letters, numbers, and/or design characters darkened in due to the sensitivity of the gold electroplating and due to the base metal (which typically is stainless steel and can therefore only be darkened in using *NON*-food-safe substances like permanent markers). However, the hand-stamped impressions are visible and will last forever. (See more information below.)

★★★ Even though the stamped characters may appear "dark" in some of the photos, that is simply a result of lighting/shadows used to help make the stamping better visible for photography purposes.
****************************************************************************

♥ The spoon pictured is an example only. Your spoon will be just as lovely and will be polished.

♥ The spoon is safe to eat with but can also be used as a photo prop.

♥ The spoon comes with instructions on how to care for the gold electroplate finish.

♥ The spoon will be polished to as bright a shine as possible. The spoon will show some wear due to its previous life. The spoon will show small scratches, dings, spots, plate-wear, and/or dents. It will not show significant plate loss or damage.

➽➽➽ If you would like a VARIATION on this listing, please convo me about setting up a custom order. I can use a vintage silver-plated serving/table spoon instead or stamp other words, other characters, stamp the wording vertically instead of horizontally on the spoon bowl, stamp the wording along the edge/rim of the spoon bowl, etc. I can also add stamping to the spoon handle in some cases, depending on the spoon pattern (e.g., initials or name or date on front or back of handle). The possibilities are endless!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please carefully review ALL of the below information prior to placing an order:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) What Exactly is Vintage/Antique/Recycled GOLD-PLATED Flatware?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This means the flatware pieces are previously used and can include nicks, spots, plate-wear, and/or scratches. Each piece is thoroughly cleaned and inspected by me. I personally select each piece for its elegance, design, charm, and beauty. Only the best pieces are used for my projects. There is great beauty in old flatware. Pieces may be slightly worn from years of loving use, but reviving them and giving them a new life is a fun way to reuse and recycle as well as to enjoy their vintage charm and history.

GOLD plating (electroplating) on antique flatware varies in color, thickness, and patina between pieces (and even within patterns) depending on the original design as well as how much each piece was used in its previous life. Because of the age and history of my flatware pieces, imperfections are to be expected and cherished -- that is part of their charm and character.

If you are seeking flawless, uniform, modern pieces for your stamped flatware, you have come to the wrong place. You would be better off looking for stainless steel, new, and/or engraved pieces.

2) How Should I Care for my Vintage GOLD-PLATED Flatware?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please hand wash your GOLD-plated flatware. This will preserve the GOLD electroplating, making the flatware last longer. Mild dishwashing detergent, lukewarm water, and a soft cloth can be used to clean GOLD-plated flatware.

It is normal for GOLD-plated pieces to darken and tarnish over time. Because of the electroplating, there is a risk of chipping the real gold when cleaning the pieces. A little bit of lemon juice or vinegar on a soft, damp cloth can be used to gently removed stains, but be sure to wash off the lemon juice or vinegar immediately when done because the acid can damage the electroplating. More detailed care instructions are included with the flatware.

3) Are the Letters/Characters Engraved?
-------------------------------------------------------
No, each letter on the flatware is lovingly hand stamped (i.e., hammered by hand by me). I carefully hand stamp each character -- one at a time. Therefore, no two pieces ever will be exactly the same due to the font/pattern used, the precise placement of each character, the character alignment, the depth of each impression, and stamp uniformity. This adds to the character, charm, and uniqueness of the pieces. Engraving is done with a machine, not by hand.

Because of the nature of hand-stamping, it is impossible to guarantee that 100% of letters/numbers/characters will be perfectly aligned. I am not a machine. In some cases, minor tool markings may be evident on the front and/or back of the flatware depending on the design & thickness of the piece.

4) Why Aren't the Stamped Characters Blackened In on GOLD-PLATED Flatware?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On GOLD-plated (gold electroplated) flatware pieces intended for use with food, stamped characters are *NOT* blackened/darkened in. This is because of the sensitivity of the gold electroplating and due to the base metal of the flatware.

Most GOLD-plated flatware has a stainless steel base. Stainless steel cannot be darkened in using natural oxidation (i.e., tarnishing). Stainless steel can only be darkened in using NON-food-safe chemicals such as paint or permanent markers. These products may be identified as "non-toxic" but are only labeled as such for "normal" intended use, which does not include putting the paint or ink in your mouth or eating it.

Although many permanent markers (such as Sharpie® markers) are labeled as "non-toxic," it is misleading. They are "non-toxic" in accordance with their intended "normal use" purpose of writing, labeling, and drawing... NOT for eating. For example, ACMI certifies that Sharpie® markers do not contain any materials in sufficient quantities to be toxic or harmful to humans. According to the institute's toxicological evaluations, Sharpie® markers are not hazardous under "normal use" conditions. However, "normal use" does NOT include consuming any amount of the marker ink. This certification as "non-toxic" also does NOT mean that materials are not irritants or allergens. Such products are certified by ACMI to be labeled in accordance with the chronic hazard labeling standard, ASTM D 4236, and the U.S. Labeling of Hazardous Art Materials Act (LHAMA). For more information, you can search the Internet on topics such as "Are permanent markers toxic?," "What does ACMI AP certification mean?," "What is ASTM D-4236 certification?," or look up the MSDS for a particular brand of permanent marker.

And on ACMI's website, it reminds readers to not put your pen in your mouth, to avoid skin contact, and to avoid eating art materials. Moreover, "never use products for skin painting or food preparation unless indicated that the product is meant to be used in this way." (https://www.acmiart.org/index.php/art-material-safety/safety-tips-what-you-need-to-know )

Buyers are cautioned to consider the health and safety of the intended recipients of their stamped flatware gifts. Sellers who do not disclose the method of darkening the stamped characters on their products intended for use with food may inadvertently be using markers/paints/products that, although possibly labeled as "non-toxic," still could be potential irritants, allergens, or worse.

The stamped characters on my pennies, dimes, GOLD-plated and silver-plated garden markers (coming soon), silver-plated jewelry (coming soon), and silver-plated ornaments (coming soon) are colored with a permanent, water-resistant, fade-resistant black dye. Even this "permanent" dye will fade over time. However, those product are ***NOT*** food safe.

💗 💗 💗 Please convo me with any questions PRIOR to ordering. I am happy to set up custom orders with different stamped designs and different options (stamping along the edge of the spoon bowl, stamping vertically instead of horizontally on the spoon bowl, stamping with another font or in uppercase & lowercase letters, stamping on the front and/or back of the handle, stamping different images if available, etc.). Thanks for looking!

✔ This item has small parts and should not be given to children due to choking hazards.

✔ Items created by AmySueCrafts are NOT toys. Please do not allow children, pets, or other adults to play with these items. Many items are breakable and also pose a choking hazard. Never put pennies, coins, charms, or other items in your mouth (or allow others to do so).

✔ Except in the case certain of ready-to-ship items, the items pictured are EXAMPLES ONLY; yours will vary based on your customization choices and natural variations in the hand-stamping process.

✔ Care Instructions for Your Handmade Item:
- Avoid direct contact with lotion, oil, perfume/cologne, hairspray, sunscreen, bug spray, and other chemicals (e.g., harsh detergents, household cleaners, bleach, alcohol, acids, etc.)
- Avoid contact with water – do not shower with OR swim with your keychains, pendants, jewelry, or other items created by AmySueCrafts; chlorine and other chemicals in water can damage, discolor, and/or destroy your handcrafted items
- In addition, keep resin-based items (e.g., music cufflinks, resin flower pendants, etc.) away from extended exposure to direct sunlight and high temperatures
- For vintage silverware, please refer to the care instructions included with your order

✔ Each hand-stamped item is stamped by me, by hand, using a hammer -- one letter/number/character/symbol at a time -- so the letters/characters/numbers may not be perfectly lined up, which only adds to the charming, rustic appeal of an item. No two will ever look the same!

✔ PLEASE be certain to provide me with ALL requested customization details at Checkout. Failure to do so can result in shipping delays which are beyond my control per my policies. If I need to follow up via convos and/or emails to gather missing custom details, your response time will determine when your item is able to be created. Thanks for understanding.

✔ If you need RUSH Order Processing (for an extra fee) to create your item faster than the standard production time listed above, please convo me prior to ordering.

✔ I ship ALL items with USPS Tracking™ (formerly called "Delivery Confirmation") which means I ***CANNOT*** ship anything by regular USPS First Class Mail; it must be sent as a USPS First Class Parcel to qualify for USPS Tracking™. This is slightly more expensive for very small, flat items, but the tracking information provides you with proof that I shipped the package and proof of delivery.

✔ AmySueCrafts accepts payment via ALL major credit cards as well as PayPal. Please convo me if you need further assistance. Please also note that payment by eCheck (checking account) or debit card may delay your order; those forms of payment often take 3-5 business days to clear the bank.

✔ AmySueCrafts is ***typically*** open for orders SUNDAYS through THURSDAYS (closed for ordering on Fridays & Saturdays). I also close periodically for additional days to ensure I continue to complete all orders in a timely fashion. For current scheduling, please see my “Announcements” on my home page (www.AmySueCrafts.Etsy.com). Please refer to your order convo and/or receipt for your ship-by date. You will receive a tracking number via Etsy convo when your order ships.

✔ Custom order requests are always welcome!

✔ INSURANCE is available on any purchase. Please click here to access the insurance add-on: https://www.etsy.com/shop/AmySueCrafts/search?search_query=insurance. Customer satisfaction is one of my primary goals, but please understand that AmySueCrafts is not responsible for packages once they are in the hands of USPS. I do not work for USPS or have any control over how USPS handles packages. Packages lost or damaged by USPS are not the fault of AmySueCrafts.

Once a package is picked up by USPS and leaves my hands, AmySueCrafts is not responsible for delivery delays, lost packages, undelivered packages, or damaged packages. Lost, damaged, undelivered, or returned packages paid without insurance are the responsibility of the buyer, not AmySueCrafts. If you choose not purchase insurance and your package is lost, damaged, or not delivered by USPS, AmySueCrafts is not liable and cannot provide a refund. Lost/damaged/undelivered packages that are not insured are also not reimbursable via USPS, even if they have USPS Tracking™.

This seller usually responds within a few hours.

If what you want isn't offered in one of my listings, PLEASE CONVO ME about a custom order. I'd be happy to make something similar for you.

Pretty much all of my listings are customizable. However, if you would like to make a change / addition to an existing listing and there is no option for what you want listed in the item description, please send me a message/convo ***FIRST***. I might need to set you up with your own special custom listing (which is easy!).

If you have an idea about making something else totally different, I accept custom orders as well. Just send me a message/convo.

Please don't request additions to an existing order after payment. Extra stamping usually costs extra, so start with a custom request instead.
I do *not* stamp on both the front & back of any single penny or dime. Stamping on one side causes a slight "smudge" in the metal on the opposite side (because the metal is soft). If you stamp on both sides of the coin, one side of the stamped characters ends up slightly distorted. The only way to avoid this is to stamp the characters *very* lightly (i.e., not stamped very deeply), which means they don't show up very well, even when darkened in. Thanks for understanding.
Handmade Takes Time. Production time for each item is listed in the item's description (Item Details tab) AND under the Shipping tab. (These tabs must be clicked to open if using a Smart Phone.)

Production time is how long it takes to create your item BEFORE shipping. Each item is handmade TO ORDER, except for the few items marked "ready to ship" (https://www.etsy.com/shop/amysuecrafts?search_query=ready+to+ship). Production time does not include weekends or holidays.

If you need something made faster than the stated production time, please message/convo me about RUSH Production options, availability, & fees. During busy times, RUSH production may not be available. And some items are not able to be rushed due to how they are made.
Please refer to the above FAQ for info. on production time (how long it takes to MAKE your item).

After your item is created, it ships by USPS. Most items include the option to upgrade to USPS Priority Mail shipping (2-3 days typical delivery), which is faster than regular shipping.

Please remember that I have no control over how long it takes for an item to reach you after I ship it. I don't work for USPS or have control over potential delays. Regular shipping can take 3-7 days AFTER your item is made. Priority Mail is faster (2-3 days typically), but it isn't USPS guaranteed.

In rare cases, I will ship by USPS Priority Mail EXPRESS, which is guaranteed delivery (usually overnight or 1-2 days, depending on where you live).
All of my custom hand-stamped items are made TO ORDER at the time you place the order. Custom hand-stamped items are not pre-made ahead of time, so they can be customized to your requested personalization.

All hand-stamped items are stamped by me, by hand, with a hammer, one letter/number/character at a time. Spacing between, and depth of, letters, numbers, characters, hearts, etc., may vary slightly within and between items. These small variations add to the charm and unique nature of each piece. They are not imperfections.

My items are not engraved by machine. They are lovingly stamped BY HAND by me (Amy). Hand-stamping is deeper than engraving, too. My items are rustic and natural, not perfect. No two pieces will ever be identical!
Once an item is shipped, you will receive an Etsy convo with the shipping date and USPS Tracking™ information to help determine roughly when your package will arrive.

USPS Tracking™ is not insurance. USPS insurance coverage is available and offered for every item. If you choose not to insure a package & it is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, no refund options are available from USPS or from me.

If USPS shows an item as having been picked up from me and it (1) is never delivered or (2) is marked as delivered to your address but you did not receive it (e.g., misdelivered), you will need to contact your local Post Office for assistance.

I will gladly help you research late/lost packages. Just convo me.
