Description

This listing is for a new copy of the Feb/Mar2018 Quilting Arts Magazine.

I have always loved Quilting Arts Magazine and it has been a dream to have my work featured within it's pages. This magazine contains the 2nd of 2 articles that I wrote for Quilting Arts this year.

I wrote the the article "Painted Quilt Canvases" to demonstrate the technique I frequently use to create textural backgrounds for my art quilts. In the article, I demonstrate the process of collaging fabric scraps, quilting the fabric collage, and then painting the quilted surface. Photographs show the process from start to finish. I like to applique on top of the "painted quilt canvas," but this background can be used for many applications.

Full of color, this magazine also contains articles by Maria Shell, Cindy Grisdela, Martha Sielman, Cheryl Sleboda and Martha Wolfe. You'll be inspired with creative techniques for inprovisational quilting, creating talismans, using remnants, photo transfers, sun printing and other amazing how-to articles.

If you'd like a signed copy, just let me know when you check out (I will sign the cover page to the article).
