Brazilwood Dyed Merino Wool Skein 800m

Description

This is a listing for a 100g skein of ultra fine Merino 17.5m
2/16nm dyed with Brazilwood dye. Approximately 800metres in length.

The colour is a lovely deep red with a raspberry tint. I feel the photo is good in colour comparison but the real life colour is a little deeper and stronger but please be aware that screens and colour opinions do vary.

There is a tiny paler patch on the skein which you can see on the photo, this is where the ties were a little tight in the dye bath but it doesn't go all through and I think it will be hardly noticed but I am making you aware it is there. I have made a small reduction to the price for this.

The yarn you will receive is the one in the photograph.

The wool was first mordanted with Alum to help the dye take and then heated with the extracted Brazilwood dye, dried and finally rinsed twice.

You will receive the wool twisted into a skein but if you would like it wound into a yarn cake that can be centre or outer pulled just convo me and I can do that for you.

This product will require hand washing in cool water, to help avoid felting, and natural drying. But I am sure you know that already.

Happy crafting.

Superb wool beautifully dyed. Works well & ideal for my `shaded` animals as the shading is all the same family. Excellent quality.

FAQs

If you would like a gradient batt creating from a batt you have found in the shop please convo me and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
I weigh all the batts and yarn on my kitchen scales to be as accurate as possible as to how much they weigh. Wool usually carries a + or - of 5% as it is highly absorbent and can soak up atmospheric moisture.
