Liza turned to see Joseph walking up with a big smile on his face. "What?" she said, grinning up at him. "I got you something to wear to the Hendrix concert," he said, putting the silver bracelet on her arm, It's got love and flower power!"

In the late 60s and early 70s, just like now, there was a big wave of sterling jewelry made from upcycled silverware. This trend has re-emerged and such pieces are very popular once again, no doubt due to the beauty and craftsmanship of the flatware itself.

This piece dates from that early wave of 60s jewelry, and the bracelet perfectly expresses the 60s zeitgeist--the sterling Wallace fork that makes the bracelet is in the pattern "Wishing Star," which has a flower that looks like a daffodil or narcissus. It further carries on the "love" idea by forming a heart with the fork tines that also looks like a heart shaped flower with two leaves around it.

The fork tines were hammered flat and curled to make the clever design. It makes a very pretty bracelet with the flower, the curled end, and the heart and swirls of the tines.

This is a substantial bracelet, made from a sterling fork, but not being a complete circle, could be adjusted to fit any wrist. CA buyers must add 9.75% sales tax.

Let your inner flower child bloom! Flower power and love, baby!
