Carrier beads need strips 7 beads wide, and either 48 or 50 rows, depending on the manufacturer.

I've designed to 48 rows as it meant I was more likely to be able to join patterns as I could use multiples of 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 12. 50 rows only gives multiples of 5.

There are lots of techniques to manage odd count peyote.

It is assumed that you can do flat peyote.
