'Roisin' are Celtic earrings handmade with very rare, Cork red marble. 'Roisin' means little rose in Irish.

Cork red marble is most commonly found in cathedrals and other public buildings here in Ireland. It is sometimes used for making rosary beads. It is not that easy to find stones ready for jewellery. I am proud to include this beautiful, Irish marble in my work.

It is a pinky-brown red, usually with paler, patchy marbling, as in these specimens. The stones sit on large, silver plated, pewter beads etched with a traditional, Celtic knot design. Both silver and pewter have a long history of use in Irish jewellery. The circular links and the hooks are sterling silver.

Handmade in Dublin, Ireland.
