This beautiful milk glass compote has a lovely openwork edge. This pattern is called the 'Scroll and Eye,' made by Fenton for a short time in the mid 1950s. The glass has nice opalescence, turning orange and blue at the edge when held to the light.

Measures 5 3/8 inches high, 8 3/8 inches outer diameter and about 6 inches diameter of flat space inside the bowl. Unmarked.

Overall condition is very good, with no chips, cracks or repairs. A couple very small scratches on the top surface. A few tiny mold flaws, inclusions throughout.

I have two compotes in this pattern (this listing is for just one). Each is ever so slightly a different color, undoubtedly from different glass batches.
