"I think probably one of the important things that happened to me was growing up in Idaho in the mountains, in the woods, and having a very strong presence of the wilderness around me. That never felt like emptiness. It always felt like presence" - Marilynne Robinson

This original artwork was one in which I sought to portray the surreal, textural, and colorful presence of Petrified Forest National Park's landscape, which is located in Arizona.

I created this work of art by painting with acrylic and ink as well as illustrating with ink on paper.

As is shown in the close-up image(s), the inks I use are in some cases matte, and in other cases iridescent. When the latter is used, the ink, when in direct light, shimmers and sparkles.

Please note that this piece will arrive to you matted and framed under glass. The frame is wired and ready to hang on a wall.

This work of art will be shipped with great care.
