These bowls are handmade from coconut shells which have been discarded from the coconut food industry. This makes them a wonderfully sustainable addition to the dining table, by repurposing waste materials that would otherwise go to landfill or be burnt. They come in three sizes - the CLASSIC, which is ideal for serving rice, curries, salads, cereals and smoothies; the MEGA, suitable for extra large portions; and the MINI, which makes a lovely little desert bowl or side dish. Each one is sanded inside and out for a smooth finish, and polished with a natural, food-safe bees' wax. They are flattened at the base so they don't wobble. Dining as mother nature intended!

Sizes vary due to the uniqueness of individual coconuts, but are approximately:
CLASSIC - diameter: 13 cms (5"), height: 7 cms (2.75")
MEGA - diameter: 14.5 cms (5.75"), height: 9.5 cms (3.75")
MINI - diameter: 12 cms (4.75"), height: 5.5 cms (2")

CARE FOR YOUR COCONUT SHELL BOWL: hand-wash and dry as soon as possible after use. Polish occasionally with a very small amount of coconut oil (or oil of your choice) to help keep them shiny. Not suitable for boiling hot liquids or for use in a microwave, and do not leave liquid sitting inside them for prolonged periods of time.

An outstanding company and product. These bowls are beautiful and exceptionally well made. I had already purchased a coconut bowl before and this was my second purchase. The item arrived slightly damaged. I contacted Sarah and she immediately apologised and resent a new product, which was of exceptional quality. She also sent a personal written apology note and wrapped a special hand carved wooden turtle as a gift. A remarkable company and excellent products. I have recommend these products and Sarah's company to many friends who have seen my coconut bowl and asked for a link. I'd recommend to all. There are many coconut bowls out there, but these are really high quality, withstand hot food use o my natural materials and finishes and you can have peace of mind that any questions or problems will be resolved.
