Please note: This listing is for a single piece of this fabric measuring about 33-34" in length, about 2" or so shy of a full yard. The price has been reduced to reflect this.

Japanese Shijira cotton is created by applying a different weaving tension to the warp and the weft. This technique creates an slightly uneven appearance, known as shibo, and texture to the surface of the cloth. The surface is pleasant to the touch and similar to seersucker. The fabric is woven with handsome stripes of gold, copper and blue running along the length. Created for a summer yukata or kimono, the fabric is perfect for fashion, wearables, quilting or handicrafts.

Fabric measures 14 1/2" wide and is sold by the yard. I have multiple yards available and will be sure to send a single length if you purchase multiple quantities.
