This is a new series of mixed media paintings "He Calms my Soul" is about my connection to the Heavenly Father and the ocean. This series of seascape paintings is a reflection of God's vast love and the ocean and how both bring me a sense of peace and strength. The ocean is a reflection of God's creation and His awesomeness. These mixed media paintings are an adventure of pure fun and exploration. Nature's beauty isn't planned, so I tried to convey that spontaneity into these paintings, and watercolor is the best medium for that spontaneity. It's fun to just let go and explore the "emotions" of a moment as I paint. This mix media painting is painted on Aovarelle Arches 140lb cold press 9 x 12 watercolor paper, and covered by a Krystat Seal art bag.
