Description

This knife was forged from a high carbon 5160 spring steel. The knife features a blade that was heat cycled 3 times and tempered for strength and durability. The handle is made from red acrylic rod and shaped by hand with cocobolo and aluminum accents. The blade length is 5" with a convex edge. The overall length of the knife is 9.75",and with a 4.75" handle this would make it great for hunting and camping. It is also set up for fire steel scraping because of it's 90° spine. The sheath is kydex, with a belt loop.

The knife is coated in cooking oil, to make it good ready. Thanks for looking.

First off, Alex is an absolute pleasure to work with. I was able to talk to him about what I wanted this knife for, and he was able to help me from there. The camp knife arrived as scheduled. This knife is a functional beauty. Fit and finish are terrific. Looking up camp knives online, it's written they can do it all, but not well. That's not the case with Alex's work at all. I spent a 3 day weekend, cutting, chopping, batoning, feather stick making (which took me a minute to get my technique down with this big knife), and it did it all better than expected. The blade even stayed sharp enough, after chopping through 3" pine and maple, for food prep. This is the perfect companion to Alex's flint and steel kit my wife got me for our anniversary. P.S. Go off of listed dimensions, not pics with Alex's hands in them. :)
