This formula is similar to Hoxsey but with much less potential for toxicity. It contains the three main ingredients of Hoxsey - Burdock root, red clover blossoms and oregon grape. In addition it contains yellow dock, dandelion leaf and root, red root, prickly ash bark, licorice root and slippery elm bark, a very small amount of poke root, and boneset
In a glycerin base.
Given orally.
The following is the average herbal dosage for cats and small dogs. It is better to start with a small amount for three days and then gradually increase. I usually dose once a day.
0.2 ml for very small cats (less than 6 lbs)
0.3 ml for small cats (under 10lbs)
0.4 ml for medium cats (10-15 lbs)
0.5 ml for large cats (15lb+)
For dogs I use approximately 0.2ml per 5lb of body weight.
-If any side effects occur stop the herbs for a few days and start again with low dose. Side effects are rare but can include vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash, restlessness, or runny eyes or nose. If side effects occur with an increase in herbs stop the herbs for two days and then go back to the dosage without side effects.
Tinctures are bottled at time of order.

waited a bit to write this review. My cat has stomatitis and still has symptoms after removing all but 4 canines. tried this tincture by slowly introducing it into his food. I wasn't sure if it was making any difference, but he seemed happy and affectionate. I stopped administering for 2 days because I forgot and noticed immediately he was acting scared, hiding, and did not want treats like normal. I immediately gave him some of this tincture as it is the only change in routine I could think of. Within a few hours he's back to wanting lap and snacks. This truly has made a difference in my cat's mood and life living with stomatitis. Thank you so much and I'm so grateful I ran into your blog about caring for a stomatitis kitty. I've switched to natural soft foods, added lysine and plaqueoff to his diet and also this tincture
