Personally I would have used 2*4 for the side piece just because 1*4 is kinda sketchy to drill pocket holes on and you might wanna use 1” pocket hole screws for the corner of the base. Otherwise L bracket with wood screws work too. Overall it turned out great! Very clear and simple instructions!

I was a little disappointed to see pocket screws as the joinery method on the top, especially the ends of the table. Without a proper breadboard end that allows the wood to move, this sets up the risk of splitting. That being said, I understand that pocket holes are great for beginners, but dowels or even biscuits would be just as easy and work better. Only the center section of the breadboard end should be glued/pinned to allow the wood to move seasonally.
