Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta medal, Swarovski lapis pears, carved Indian ornate bone beads, Swarovski white pearls, Swarovski crystals, TierraCast daisy spacers, sterling silver twist crimps, sterling silver wire guards, silver plated lobster clasp and pin, silver tone extender chain, 49 strand beading wire

This rosary chaplet bracelet is dedicated to St. Mother Teresa and combines a holy medal, hand-carved ornate bone beads, and blue and white crystal pearls in a beautiful Catholic "niner" chaplet with adjustable size.

The holy medal was made in Italy of base metal and is very nicely detailed, as my photos show. There is even a dimensionality to the rendering of Mother Teresa, who is identified as "M. Teresa of Calcutta." On the medal's back is the sentiment "Pray for Us," along with a simple flower design and the place of origin (Italy). I purchased the Italian-made holy medal for this bracelet at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette in Massachusetts. The shrine is a peaceful, meditative place - and very special!

The ornate bone beads have a rustic quality, but are quite pretty and highly appropriate for the chaplet because they were hand-carved in India. (Please note that because of they are handmade, the size can vary slightly from bead to bead.) The blue and white crystal pearls are from Swarovski (made in Austria; 8mm, 6mm, 4mm). I chose blue and white because they match the colors of the simple clothing that Mother Teresa wore. The color blue—Swarovski "lapis"—is nicely similar to the shade of denim that bordered her scarf (or mantle), with the color white representing the muslin fabric of the clothes.

Also included here are the following:
• Swarovski crystal bicones (made in Austria; 4mm)
• TierraCast silver-on-pewter daisy spacers and plated oval jump rings (made in USA)
• Sterling silver twist crimps (made in USA)
• Sterling silver wire guards (made in USA)
• High-quality 49-strand beading wire (made in USA)
• Silver tone extender chain
• Silver-plated lobster clasps (15mm user-friendly size)

The basic length of the rosary bracelet is approximately 7 inches, with the extender chain adding an extra inch of adjustability. The size of medal is one inch, including its connector link. Please see my measurement photos included with this listing.

Inspirational and a helper with both meditation and prayer, this St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta chaplet bracelet would make a wonderful gift as Catholic jewelry, but it is also highly appropriate as spiritual jewelry for anyone who admires the selfless life that Mother Teresa led, especially her deep devotion to compassion and care for the "poorest of the poor." This beautiful rosary bracelet was handmade by me with great care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer. It comes nicely wrapped in a pretty organza bag, all set for gifting.

Please note: This item comes with a beautiful laminated holy card, which, like the medal, I purchased at La Salette and which is also Italian made. The front shows a photographed picture of the saint, and on the back is printed "Prayer for Saint Teresa of Calcutta." (I've included photos showing both sides of the holy card.)

A Brief Word about Mother Teresa
Born in Eastern Europe in 1910, Mother Teresa was an Albanian-Indian Catholic missionary who spent most of her life in India's West Bengal city of Calcutta. She began there as nun, teaching at a convent school in eastern Calcutta, but inspired by a different calling, left the convent in 1946 to work with the poor and sick of the city. She began to wear simpler clothing—a white cotton sari with blue trim—and became an Indian citizen. She also sought training in basic medical practice and founded a religious community—the Missionaries of Charity—whose goal would be to help "poorest of the poor." That community grew into an international charity over the decades, with over 500 missions in more than 100 countries by the mid 1990s. By then, Mother Teresa had become renown for her charitable Christian service to the poor and sick. She died in 1997, and was canonized by Pope Francis in December of 2015. Her saint's name is St. Teresa of Calcutta.

About Nine-Bead Chaplets
A nine-bead chaplet (often called a "niner") facilitates a simple and easily remembered form of spiritual devotion. Its conventional prayer pattern is three recitations of each of the following prayers: "Our Father," "Hail Mary," and "Glory Be." The trios of each prayer correspond to the trios of the prayer beads.

Having a chaplet as a bracelet is nice because it easily goes with you, right on your wrist, and can act as reminder of spiritual practice as well as a helper with that practice. It can be used for any form of good intention - such as offering thanksgiving, reflecting on penance, or petitioning divine assistance for oneself or others—or simply as a "time out" of life's busy flow to engage in personal meditation.

Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.

I like to ship quickly, usually 1 or 2 days after payment unless it's a weekend or holiday. Please ensure your shipping address is current.

U.S. ORDERS: I ship USPS First Class w/Tracking. If you want to purchase insurance or upgrade, please contact me.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: After many years of shipping internationally, I am temporarily ceasing such shipments.

However, if you live outside the U.S. and would like to buy something, contact me. I will do what I can to help. Be aware that any tariffs, customs fees, and surcharges are paid by the buyer.

Note that shipping is now very costly for USPS First Class International, which is what I would normally use. Also, if you live in the EU, I do not have GDPR policies at the moment.
I sincerely want you to be happy with your purchase.

Returns are accepted if you contact me within 7 days after delivery to you. I expect to receive the item no later than 2 weeks after delivery. If this timeframe is problematic for you, contact me before buying. Also, I do allow extensions for special holidays such as Christmas and Valentine's Day, as some people buy early, me included!

For All Items: I will refund for the purchase price minus original shipping cost.

You are responsible for return shipping with tracking (U.S.). Items should be in their original condition, with the original wrapping and packing materials. Extra items, like jewelry cards, gift bags, boxes, freebies, should be included.
Non-receipt: I will do my very best to help you if items go astray. Tracking provides information on the item's routing to its destination, and I always ship directly from the post office rather than relying on postal pick-up. Again, please be sure that your shipping address is CURRENT.

Damage: I pack orders well to minimize any problem in this area. However, if your purchase arrives damaged, contact me immediately. I will do my very best to help.
I accept PayPal and Etsy Payments. Please be aware that even if you are not a member of PayPal, you can securely use it to pay for your purchase with a major credit card.

Payment must be made within 24 hours of purchase or the order will be cancelled.

To Rhode Islanders: Sorry to say, but by law I must apply 7% sales tax to your purchase and pass it on to "the governor."

Buyers from other states may also be charged state sales tax. In this case, your tax payment is determined and handled by Etsy, not me.
Yes, I am always happy to accept a custom order! Whether or not I require a deposit, full amount, or neither will depend on the nature of the order. I have done a number of such orders elsewhere with no deposit or purchase required, as I knew I could simply add those items to my inventory if the customer decided not to purchase. (Customers always did purchase them, though.) I always show photos of custom orders to the customer.
If you are buying a gift for someone and have used that person's address for shipping, please let me know at the time of ordering - I will be happy to include a complimentary notecard in which is written whatever message you would like to send.

Of course, I am always happy to send to that person's address. Just please make sure it is CURRENT. Thank you!
