*vintage 1960s stunning silk chiffon Geoffrey Beene dress

*layered sheer silk chiffon, the top layer is hot pink with a marble like print with orange, navy blue and brown tones swirled throughout, the next layer is orange and the under layer is opaque hot pink

*sleeveless with a convertible collar that can be worn unbuttoned or it has a series of twelve covered buttons that have loop closures that can be closed to make a cowl shaped collar

*the waist seam is curved in the front of the bodice, it sits above the natural waist but is not quite empire

*the top two layers of the skirt are very full, floaty chiffon. The interior layer is straight and fitted closer to the body

*the dress has a nylon zipper in the center back that only goes to the waist, above the waist the bodice fastens with one snap in the middle

*there is a petersham ribbon belt at the waist interior that closes with a hook & eye, there is a covered button at the waist above the zipper

*Condition*
The dress is in very good to excellent condition. The issues to note are: the inner orange chiffon layer has several large splotches near the bottom of the zipper where the color is darker, it does not show through the top layer so it will not be seen when worn. In the same area but closer to the zipper there are two tiny holes in the orange chiffon, these also do not show when worn. The only other things to note are several lighter color spots that are like tiny rain drops on the back of the bodice, they may just be part of the pattern of the fabric or they may be actual rain drops, they are not noticeable from wearing distance. There is also a slightly lighter in color diagonal line that measures 1 1/2" in length located on the back of the skirt that is hidden in the fullness of the chiffon. I tried to photograph the mentioned issues but they did not show up in the photos. The last photo is of the darker spots on the interior orange chiffon layer that does not show when worn.
