Vintage from the 1940s

Vintage strawberry pot planter, ceramic tulip vase, please read item details

Height: 7 Inches; Width: 4.5 Inches; Depth: 4.25 Inches

This charming vintage vase, strawberry pot planter, or flower frog was made by Niloak in the 1940s. The tulip vase has five openings for planting strawberries (or maybe succulents), or for holding a spring bouquet. This would also be wonderful as a paint brush or pencil holder.

The vase has a shining periwinkle blue glaze, called Ozark Blue by its manufacturer. The bottom has a raised in-mold mark used in the 1940s. Niloak Pottery was part of Eagle Pottery from Benton, Arkansas--named for the white kaolin clay (niloak spelled backward).

The pottery jardiniere is in excellent condition, with no no chips or cracks.

Size: About 7 inches tall x 4.5 inches wide x 4.25 inches deep (17.8 x 11.4 x 10.7 cm).
