The Canterbury gallop… a silver horse wax seal pendant necklace with a woman in Victorian dress cantering on horseback ~ eco friendly silver wax seal jewelry.
The canter, which is popular for horse shows and park rides, is said to be derived from the Canterbury gallop, a pace set by horseback-riding monks on their way to Canterbury, that averages from five to nine miles an hour.
There was a time when horses were an integral part of everyday life, be it for trading, transportation, recreation or warfare.

The small horse wax seal charm measures approximately 1/2" (13mm) and is suspended on a sterling silver chain with a spring ring clasp but you can order just the charm.

Using an antique Victorian trinket wheel wax seal, which dates back to 1837 - 1901, I hand cast the horse wax seal into eco friendly fine silver (.999 pure and recycled silver). Then I oxidize the and polish the wax seal charm to highlight the delightful details.
