This is the newest Day of the Dead piece from ExIconoclast, just finished today, finally. Todos habían oído que la princesa era muy bonita, pero nunca se imaginaron que fuese tan bella. But in my mind, she always was.

The princess' head is a glitter covered foam skull approximately 7" high; the overall height of the piece is about 14". The base/platform she sits on is wood and while she is permanently attached, her head dress is removable for easier shipping (and packing should you ever move). Same is true for the tiny white doves fluttering above her skull. Her earrings (Christmas decorations for a tiny tree) can be removed as well.

The Princess' face has been adorned with rhinestones and glitter glue and her "hair" is a pattern of sequins and glitter glue. Her head dress is a something you find in every Hispanic dollar store in south Chicago in the party section - actually it is part of the wedding decorations, but I always think it is perfect for a lovely young lady such as La Princesa de los Dios de los Muertas (not sure if Spanish has the equivalent of that horrible French partitive).
