Pewter ice cream mold # 1141. Vintage Epplesheimer Victorian floral bouquet

This mold makes a Victorian standing bouquet from ordinary ice cream! The mold is made of pewter; it's heavy and has the typical dull patina on the outside and shiny patina on the inside of an antique mold. It is made by the famous maker Epplesheimer of New York: mold #1141. I have used it mostly in the spring, particularly at Easter time....semi freezing the ice cream then putting it in the mold for the final freezing. (The stirring while prefreezing allows the finished bouquet/ice cream to be free of ice crystals.) It makes home made ice cream incredibly special and, when not in use, is a reminder of family gatherings displayed (opened) on an open shelf. It's approx: 10" opened (5.5" hinge closed) x 4" x1.75". It has a hinge closure that works well. I know you'll love it!
