I think this bag is a bit posh. It has a kind of refined elegance in its shape that reminds me of the great designer bags of the 50s and 60s and 70s - before bags went tiny, then huge. Now we are much freer in our styles and therefore I present Audrey Hepburn meets pony club mom at Glastonbury festival! A fusion of styles with shabby chic, boho and neat little Chanel satchel all combined. The handle is made from 2 strands of French knitting that I have twisted together and is about 26 inches long. It joins to the side of the bag with individual spirals. The body of the purse is 11 inches wide, 9 inches tall and 4 inches deep. There is no catch but there are 2 flaps designed so that one goes inside the other. The top flap has a woolly flower and vintage mother of pearl button decoration. The main body is handspun, handknitted Jacob fleece, with a lining of recycled blanket. Quietly, poshly, shhh, bit of a hippy mum...
