Description

A magnificent art deco desk lamp with wonderful lines and an attractive chrome finish. The lamp comes with it's original wiring and bakelite plug. Takes a slim bayonet bulb (not included). Circa. 1930s-50s.

Condition: very good vintage condition with the expected age-related wear such as fine scratches, the odd little ding (to the lampshade) and some tiny pitting to the chrome finish. Please see all the photos and use the zoom feature for a more detailed look.

Note: original French wiring works perfectly as can be witnessed in photos, however, as always in these circumstances, wiring should be checked and rewired by a professional electrician to the modern safely standards of your own country.

To avoid any disappointment with a potential purchase, please carefully read all our descriptions and use the zoom-in feature that Etsy provides to view the photos in detail. We of course describe all our items to the best of our ability, but sometimes misunderstandings do occur, or a detail in an item's description could accidentally be over-looked while we write up our listings, so with this in mind, if you're not happy with your item please contact us and tell us about it - customer satisfaction is paramount to our shop.

If an item is broken in transit due to insufficient packaging (photos required for insurance purposes) we allow 14 days (flexible depending on situation) to return the item in its original packaging for a full refund including your original shipping costs, however, please note that the return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

If a refund is applicable, this will happen once the item had been returned in the same condition in which it was sent out (unless it arrived broken of course) and as mentioned above, the customer will be responsible for their own return shipping charges.

How and when are items shipped?

Parcels are usually posted within 1-5 working days from the date of purchase.
All items are very carefully wrapped and sent either by Paquet Prio (tracking included in the shipping), or if over 2 kg, as Colissimo parcels which also include tracking and are normally a lot faster.

How long will my item take to arrive? (these times are approximations so may vary and are not guaranteed - they also do not take into account Christmas orders which you need to be patient about, as the post is obviously a lot slower. Tip:- order earlier than normal if you want a parcel to have a chance of arriving for Christmas).

UK / Europe: 7-14 working days
USA / Canada: approx. 7-21 working days
Australia: 14-21 working days

Are items tracked?

All items include international tracking built into the shipping price displayed.

What if my parcel has not arrived?

If your parcel has not arrived and you're concerned, send us a message and we will do all we can to help track your item (if the item was tracked). It is important, however, to realise that once a parcel is out of our hands and within the postal system, we are not in control of it from here in France, so therefore cannot accept responsibility for lost parcels - the good news is that so far this has never happened but if it were to occur, refunds can be negotiated between ourselves and the buyer.

Post & Packaging:

All parcels are are packed with care and posted from our premises in France.

The shipping costs are not open for negotiation (unless multiple purchases are made, and then shipping is often cheaper and any savings refunded to the customer once a parcel has shipped).

Important: please bear in mind, the price you may see on a parcel doesn't include the cost of any brand new bubble-wrap, brown tape (and sometimes a newly purchased box for special orders) - therefore, to stay in business there is a small charge for our packing materials on parcels where these materials are used. On average these added costs vary from 1 to 5 euros depending on the size and delicate nature of the item (very large parcels will obviously be more), and are already built into our shipping charges. We do not make money from shipping costs and if anything often pay more than we charge when excess materials are used or the item goes overweight - we obviously swallow such losses and do not charge the customer.

We are also great believers in looking after our planet and when possible, use clean, re-cycled boxes for which there is of course no charge - this saves both yourselves and ourselves great expense, but is of course not always possible when dealing with very breakable items.

Multiple orders:

When possible we are happy to reduce postal costs for multiple items, so please message us for an accurate postal quote BEFORE making your purchases.

Postal Refunds:

We give refunds if you have been overcharged for postage and packing charges - we are honest sellers and it is not in our benefit not to do so; this only becomes clear once we have actually paid the post office and sent your parcel. Once a refund is due, we will issue it and send a message informing you.
