What to expect:

Our maps begin with a bare piece of wood and are crafted from beginning to end in our shop located in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are a small business that takes great pride in the items we make. Customers are our number 1 priority, and we will do everything to make sure you receive a 5 star worthy product as well as 5 star customer service. We first began crafting our maps in our 2 stall garage in 2014 and have curated the perfect wood finish for any room.

Whether you are buying for yourself or as a gift for a family or friend, we know you won't be disappointed. We have no doubt that your item will be better than what we can capture in the photos & video displayed.

What you can expect from us:

1. Order is placed
2. We will reach out to update you on our current wait time (usually 1-2 weeks).
3. You will receive a mock up of your order if you requested custom text. You will still be able to make changes, and we will wait for your final approval before we carve your map.
4. Production begins and takes about 2 days from the time we start
5. Item is packaged, and you will be notified with tracking information on the day it is ready to ship.
6. Item will ship in a custom made box, with protective packaging material, and will have the fresh wood shop smell. Trust us... it's a good smell :)
7. Item is ready to hang straight out of the box and will include the screw to put into your wall.

Damages are rare, but they can happen during transport. If your item is damaged, please message us photos. We will take care of it from there and send you a replacement at no cost!

Most Howdy Owl wall decor is NOT stocked. It is custom made-to-order. Processing time averages 1-2 weeks plus shipping, but that will vary throughout the year. Message us if you need your order by a specific date.

We can carve hearts or stars to mark locations. These location markers are permanent fixtures of the wood. They are not removable, and we do not sell these individually for future markings.

We recommend using push pins or small nails if you want to mark future locations. The push pins will not go in as easy as they will on cork board or sheetrock, but with some force they can be pinned by hand.

Any permanent marker will work - we recommend fine tip. We spray all of our pieces with a protective clear coat. If many people will be signing, take that into consideration for which size you want. We recommend putting a nice note beside the item letting your guests know to sign legibly but small enough to accommodate other guest signatures. We also recommend that you have close friends or family sign first, prior to the big day, to make sure the pen you want to use will work the way you want it to. And, to give the first guests that sign an idea how big they should sign. You can sign the main board as well as the carving (if you have different color markers).
