Pictures don't do this one justice. Amazing Victorian era frame. The frame is wood, black on the outside edges, the top is a tortoise shell colored wood while the inside molding of the frame is gold with a damask print. The tortoise shell colored portion is carved with a dainty little pattern. The frame itself is stunning, but it does have some major dings and chips as shown in the images.

The print itself is an original hand-coloured lithograph from an 1863 book entitled "Godey's Lady's Book". Text on the print, which is somewhat hidden by the matting reads: "Godey's Fashions for January 1880, J.H. Camp Phila". It contains the vertical crease, which is customary for these prints.

Frame is approx 15.75" x 13.75" x 3" deep.
