Description

COLEFAX & FOWLER EMBROIDERED SILK FABRIC SAMPLE – Floral Sample Panel

"PEMBURY" F3704/02 PINK/GREEN

From the Evesham Collection - Eye catching open poppies combine with delicate feathery leaves in this softly trailing embroidered silk.

This is for 1 x Colefax & Fowler embroidered silk entitled Pembury. It measures approximately 16" x 14½" (40cm x 37cm). A beautiful piece of silk with a luxuriously embroidered floral design against a rich ivory-cream coloured background.

I have TWO pieces of this fabric sample available at time of listing. They are almost identical. You can see them both in some of the photos so unless you have a particular preference for one of the pieces I will select at random.

** This is a purpose-made sample panel, not a remnant **

Photos taken with and without a flash

OBSERVATIONS: This sample has been carefully removed from it's original sample book mounting. There is a 1½" paper edging to one edge of the fabric sample on the reverse side, which states the pattern name and composition, etc. Two other sides of the fabric sample have paper edges which measure just under 1¾". These paper edges are fairly easy to remove if you wish to.

TIPS FOR REMOVING THE BACKING PAPER: Some of the backing papers come away very easily but others require a little more attention. With those ones I usually find it is best to lay the fabric down on a flat surface with the paper side facing you. I then run my nail very gently under the edge of the paper, working it loose until I can fit my finger under. Once I can fit my finger under, then I hold the paper up gently with one hand and then slowly push my finger along the flat surface of the fabric, which will help to push the paper up and separate it from the fabric. I keep working my way along the entire edge of the fabric in this way. Don't be tempted to just pull the paper up or it is likely to simply tear. The best way to achieve a clean removal is to get your finger underneath and work it loose that way.
