This thumb ring is the humble object that contributed to the conquest of China centuries ago. Worn by Manchu archers constantly from childhood, this style of thumb ring enabled archers to accurately shoot their targets from galloping horses and then twist around in the saddle for a parting backward shot. This vintage ring was carved from natural stone and measures 1 1/8” across and 1” wide. Its color is predominately ivory with russet-colored markings floating on a complex translucent surface. The ring is mounted on a red silken cord, symbolizing good luck and happiness. It adjusts from 18 to 20."
Like most of my handmade pieces, it is one of a kind.

I bought this necklace as a gift for my mom - she loved it, and Wendy was incredibly helpful in making sure it arrived in time for Christmas.
