Eco friendly bird feeder made of vintage, used traffic signal lenses.

Partial proceeds from the sale of all my bird feeders will go to the Nature Conservancy. www.nature.org

This one is a little different than my usual design. I have used both plastic and glass stop light lenses. The roof on this feeder has a low profile retro silhouette, very cool.

Durable plastic, used yellow stop light makes the 12" across diameter roof.
A beautiful glass red stop light lens for the base is 8" diameter.
Both lived life on the street way back when.

Built with new and used hardware. Stainless steel cable used for the hanging wire. I have stamped a bird image into several of the cable stops on the feeder. A perfect addition for your urban garden.

The base can be unhooked from the top and therefor very easy to clean. If you are new to back yard bird feeding and need a little extra help attracting birds, you can unhook the roof, add twine to the base and hang the feeder without the roof to make the bird seed more visible.

Watch a short video of sweet gold finches feasting in one of my feeders.

I clean the used lenses and then use plastic polish to rub out the scratches-but some scratches remain, so there is still a sign of their history.

Due to the nature of up-cycling, some slight variation can occur among the lenses and hardware. However the differences are very minor and do not affect the overall look of the feeder, and in general are not even noticeable.

It is carefully packaged and includes information about bird feeding and special information about your feeder-this is a unique piece for you and the birds to enjoy.
