Description

Assam tea & Skeleton key necklace/ Steampunk jewelry/ Gothic jewelry/ Long necklace/ Costume accessories/ Steampunk costume/ Key jewelry

As every accomplished steampunk adventurer knows, after one has donned the appropriate attire, one must turn their attention to the matter of accessories. Whether that entails selecting suitable head wear for the time of day/ type of engagement/ latest fashions, spare goggles in case one is invited for a spot of sight-seeing by dirgible, a fob watch that indicates the time for elevenses in 17 different countries, or a skeleton key for opening those pesky locked doors, treasure chests and sealed biscuit tins.
However, as you well know, an adventurer is not fully prepared until they have selected the most important accessory of all- an emergency phial of tea. I'm sure we've all heard the shameful tale of Sir Reginald Pilsbury who, although marooned on a desert island, was still able to fashion together an acceptable dining set and chairs from twigs and leaves, in order to host a dinner party for his rescuers. Tragedy struck though when he realised he had consumed the last of his tea the previous day, forcing him to improvise with dried oregano. His family have never lived down the embarrassment and fled to a small island off the coast of Greenland where tea is an unknown substance.
Never fear though, Sir Tuddly has the solution to your accessory dilemmas and presents to you his patent-pending Tea & Skeleton key necklace. Created with discretion in mind, this piece comprises a skeleton key and phial of tea strung on a chain that will look, to the untrained eye, to be merely a decorative accessory. You however, will be secure in the knowledge that not only will locks present no further obstacles to you, but a dash of tea is always at hand should the need arise.

This Assam tea & Skeleton key necklace is handmade; the skeleton key is sculpted from polymer clay onto a recycled key and decorated with acrylic paints and varnish, and the tea phial is a small glass bottle with a decorative label and filled with coloured ink (Please don't open the phial, this is not real tea!). The antique gold coloured chain is 46cm long and finished with a lobster clasp, the skeleton key is approximately 6cm long and the phial is approximately 3cm long. The chain that the key and bottle are attached to adds an additional 13cm length to the length of the necklace chain.

Thank you for visiting Crumbs & Fluff!

This piece has been made to a high quality and is well constructed but it is a piece of wearable art and should not be used as a toy for children. It should also not be worn while in the shower or swimming, sailing down white water rapids and probably not when deep sea diving while looking for kraken! Clean with a soft dry cloth and do not use jewellery polishes or cleaners.

Postage in the UK is by First Class Signed for. International postage will be by Royal Mail International Tracked- if you think your country may not be covered by this service, please contact me and we can discuss a secure postal option.
