"Our Creators Messenger"  2017   Prismacolor Colored Pencils

One of my best drawings in my own opinion, this one is special. Depicting my former art student and professional Creek artist George Alexander, this drawing took a lot of patience and thought. Our Creators Messenger has a story that goes along with it and what you see in the image. Many thought that the Eagle was a messenger of the creator b/c he could fly the highest in the skies. That the Eagle could bring both prayers and messengers from his people. Here we see one of our Creators messengers who has shapeshifted into human form to deliver a message. His brown hat that shades his keen vision and white shirt resemble the colors we see in Eagles today. His feathers that give him the ability to fly are seen in the back of his hat that hold his ability to tranform. The small beaded band across his hat resembles the style and work of the tribe that he watches, protects over, and belongs to.
