Antique Onodaga Pottery Syracuse Dish

This is a lovely antique, 19th Century Onondaga Pottery Syracuse China covered butter dish; pattern number 1847. The dish and lid are beautifully embossed porcelain with a very pleasing design of pinkish tan/khaki florals and brown leaves. The handle on the lid and bottom plate are accented with a gold painted edge, which trails down and curls on top of the lid. The side handles on the dish have hand painted gold scrolls and flowers.

Size: 8 1/8 inches long; 7 5/8 inches wide. Approximately 4 inches high.

Made in USA. Manufactured sometime between 1886-1898.

Condition: Used. There are a few small nicks on the lid edge. The dish has some scratches.
