Description

Here we have a really hard to find discontinued piece of artwork. This is the sought after "Fluid Caress" by famed Russian sculptor Alexander Danel. It is very beautiful to look at from any angle. The man and woman have an art deco angular look to them which is the Abstract Expressionism style.

It stands nearly 17" tall and weighs a whopping 8 pounds. It has a protective foam pad on the bottom so it will not scratch anything. The color is a distressed silver and all the points reflect light.

It is in very good overall condition. There is a small scuff on the back side of her leg. I didn't try to rub it off which I'm sure it will. It has minor wear from age. It doesn't come up for auction often and the time to buy is when you see it.

It has Danel stamped into the base.

No more will be made since this piece was retired, Austin Productions is no longer in business, and Danel is no longer with us, He passed away in in 2001.

Alexsander Danel was born in Estonia in 1940 but educated in Moscow before moving to the United States. He was the head sculptor at Austin Productions. Austin Productions ceased all production in 2009. The company's work is now featured in posh auctions around the world.

Shipping: I will always err on the side of caution and use a bigger box with more cushioning to prevent breakage if it is a fragile item. Priority includes insurance for the item. If not priority, insurance can be added for an additional cost.

If my estimate for shipping is off considerably I will give a partial refund on it since I am not in it to make money off the shipping.
